The Big Quiet is a mass meditation movement that gathers thousands of people for large-scale moments of quiet, connection and special performances at some of the most iconic places in the world.

Right off the bat, the concept of The Big Quiet is appealing to not only those who practice mindfulness, but really, anyone. It’s even attracted the interest of Oprah Winfrey (as though there were another Oprah) who invited TBQ founder Jesse Israel to lead mass meditations on a leg of her 2020 Campaign for Wellness tour.

As a sleep company, we know that rest is crucial. We prioritize downtime and we encourage a healthy work-life balance, which is what sparked inspiration for our partnership with The Big Quiet. Recently, we welcomed Jesse to our headquarters in Phoenix for a mass meditation with our team—we even made our own meditation cushions for the event.

During Jesse’s visit to T&N, we covered the science and benefits of his powerful meditation technique and also discussed an accessible approach for establishing and maintaining daily practice. A common misconception about meditation is that, if you can’t completely silence your mind, you’re doing it wrong. The truth is there’s really no right or wrong way to meditate and it’s totally normal for your mind to wander. When that happens, simply re-focus your attention to your breathing and to the voice leading you through your practice. The goal is to generate deep rest in the mind and body through the 1 Giant Mind technique that teaches:

  • How this style of meditation can reverse and prevent toxic stress and anxiety
  • How to live with a deeper connection to yourself, to your greater purpose and to your personal power
  • How this effortless daily meditation practice can drastically improve your sleep, immune system, sex life, creativity, productivity and your ability to feel comfortable in social settings
  • How to master a form of meditation that you can easily do on your own, anywhere and anytime—without relying on meditation apps or guided classes

Jesse’s mission is to connect people to their joy and power so they can make a fulfilling contribution to the world. To learn more about Jesse and his leadership philosophy, visit jesseisrael.com.
